Scope withdraws its Renewable Energy Corporates Rating Methodology

Scope incorporates key elements from the retired Methodology into its European Utilities Rating Methodology and withdraws the Renewable Energy Corporates Rating Methodology. This will likely have a positive impact on one outstanding rating.

Scope Ratings announced today the publication of its updated European Utilities Rating Methodology.

One change to the European Utilities Rating Methodology was to extent the area of application to renewable energy corporates. Subsequently, the Renewable Energy Corporates Rating Methodology is now withdrawn.

The application of the updated European Utility Rating Methodology might have a limited impact on outstanding ratings for companies that have previously been rated under the Renewable Energy Corporates Rating Methodology, likely with a positive impact.
