Scope withdraws ratings for TV2 Csoport Zrt.

Scope has ceased analytical coverage of TV2 Csoport Zrt due to insufficient data and information to continue the analysis underpinning the ratings.

The latest information on the rating, including rating reports and related methodologies, is available on this LINK.

      Rating action

Scope Ratings downgrades the issuer rating assigned to TV2 Csoport Zrt from BB- to B as well as the rating for TV2’ senior unsecured debt from B+ to B. Following this downgrade, Scope Ratings withdraws the issuer rating of TV2 Csoport Zrt and the rating for its senior unsecured debt.

      Rating rationale

Following the initial rating action issued in November 2019, Scope had placed TV2’s BB-/Stable issuer rating and B+ rating for senior unsecured debt under review for a possible downgrade, on December 18th 2019, due to unexpected changes in the business case. After the review of additional information received, the agency still has concerns around the investment strategy pursued in the context of the MNB Bond for Growth Program. Scope decided to withdraw the rating due to the lack of information and to reflect its inability to calculate a precise base case.

Stress testing & cash flow analysis
No stress testing was performed. Scope performed its standard cash flow forecasting for the company.
