Scope sees no Covid-19 impact on CPPIB Renewables Europe

The operating performance of both offshore wind farms is closely monitored. Scope does not expect any negative effects on cash flow generation and debt service from the viral pandemic.

Construction will not be affected by the Covid-19 pandemic as both wind farms are already connected to the grid.

The priority dispatch of electricity, the absence of price risk due to regulated fixed feed-in tariffs, and the good quality and reliability of the offshore wind resource make the project independent of potentially negative impacts from the coronavirus pandemic.

The value of the project is linked to a long operating life that is not affected by the short-term disturbance of the Covid-19 virus, despite the severity of the situation. This is also true for many infrastructure and project finance credits in general.
